On the afternoon of April 21st,the Party Secretary Chen Shangyun got a “precious gift”,two copies of “Flood control principle” written by our well-known alumnus Huang Wangli. It was especially mailed from Beijingby Academician Yang Le of Chinese Academy of Sciences, who won the Hua Luogeng Prize for Mathematics, which means a lot for us to study the history of our school and technology of Hydraulic engineering. Prof.Chen made a contact immediately with Yang Yan, the daughter of the Academician Yang Le, expressed thanks to the Academician Yang Le on behalf of the school, and sent greetings.
On April 21st,college sent the “Flood control principle” to museum in the World Book Day. The curator Gao Fan accepted the book personally , expressed thanks to our college and awarded academician Yang Le the honorary donation certificate.
Our college will hand the certificate to Academician Yang Le in the near future.
